Keep Louisiana Beautiful, along with the support of Governor John Bel Edwards and Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, is spearheading the largest litter removal effort in Louisiana’s history, to coincide with Earth Day. Individuals, businesses and organizations are encouraged to plan and partake in community cleanups in an effort to create a cleaner, more beautiful Louisiana. BREC's Bioblitz 2023

Frenchtown Conservation Area
Grab your field guides and boots and join BREC naturalists and local scientists as they explore and document the diversity of life, or “biodiversity”, of Frenchtown Conservation Area. You can participate by attending a scheduled hike, helping to document species with local scientists around the park, meeting local groups and organizations that work to protect the natural spaces of Louisiana, practicing hands-on sampling, participating in live animal encounters, and more!
Earth Day Celebration

Knock Knock Children's Museum
Come to Knock Knock Children's Museum and celebrate Earth Day with the power of play. The theme this year is Homes and Habitats. Visitors will find a plethora of activities throughout the 18 Learning Zones, as well as the reveal of Big Back Yard Springtime Spruce up. Don't let the kiddos miss out on this Earth Day celebration!
